What is facial reflexology?
Facial reflexology is built on the same foundations as foot reflexology. Pressure techniques are applied to specific nerve endings (or reflexes) on the face which correspond to different organs, systems and glands in the body. Stimulating these reflexes can help restore the body back to its natural state of balance and good health.
Working in close proximity to the brain and cranial nerves makes facial reflexology especially powerful and can be used by people suffering with sinus problems, tension headaches and migraine.
I offer facial reflexology as part of my facelift massage treatment for the ultimate in relaxation and improved health and wellbeing. See below for more information.
What is facelift massage?
Facelift massage combines the very best and most effective ancient and modern facial massage techniques into one rejuvenating treatment. It is a gentle non-invasive approach to looking younger which aims to offer a glowing and radiant complexion from the very first treatment. It includes Japanese facial massage with its high speed flicking movements, which work by freeing constrictions within the facial muscles and connective tissue, along with other massage techniques such as tapotement, friction, effleurage, percussion, hacking, petrissage, vibration, lymph drainage massage techniques and migraine and sinus congestion points. With regular sessions, this unique and transformational holistic therapy promises to help “iron out” wrinkles, stimulate collagen and elastin, tighten and sculpt the jawline and reduce puffiness.
How is it different from other facials?
Advanced facelift massage techniques are combined with facial reflexology and Indian head massage so that, as well as helping your skin look good on the outside, your health is improved and your spirits are lifted on the inside. This is a kinder, more holistic approach to beauty which works on the basis that by letting go of stresses and emotions held in the face, you will naturally look and feel better. It can literally take years off you.
Unlike some other facials, facelift massage is intensive and very hands on. At no point, will you be left in the room on your own with a mask on! Although I do use high quality organic facial oils to enhance the treatment, the emphasis is on the massage and fingertip techniques used rather than on any particular products. If necessary, your skin will be gently cleansed before I apply the facial oils. However, as this facial does not involve a deep cleanse, if you generally wear a lot of make up, you might want to cleanse your own skin before arriving.
